Do you want to feel like you have your life together?
Do you finally want to feel energised throughout the day & get ahead?
Are you sick of feeling like crap and want to start taking your life seriously?
It's time you sorted out your diet. Here's why I think it is hugely beneficial to plan your weekly meals and prep some of them ahead of time.
Meal planning and prepping are essential habits for a healthy and productive lifestyle. It's the secret pill to getting ahead in life. When you meal plan and prep, you take control of what you eat, save time and money, and ensure that you have nutritious food available when you need it, especially when you are at work. Here's why meal planning and prepping are beneficial:
1. Improved nutrition: Meal planning and prepping allow you to control the ingredients and portions of your meals, which can lead to improved nutrition. You can ensure that your meals are balanced with the right amount of protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats, and include the necessary vitamins and minerals for optimal health. You're less likely to eat processed rubbish and feel like crap. It's going to make your brain and body fire on all cylinders and help you feel the best you can.
2. Increased energy levels: When you eat nutritious meals, you provide your body with the fuel it needs to perform at its best. Eating a balanced meal with a good mix of nutrients can help you avoid energy crashes and increase your overall energy levels. This can be especially important when you are at work, where you need to stay focused and productive throughout the day. Most of you go through life never actually knowing what it feels like to feel energised and your true self. You're riddled with inflammation from eating rubbish that you have forgotten what it's like.
3. Reduced stress: Meal planning and prepping can help reduce stress by taking away the uncertainty of what you will eat each day. When you know what you're going to eat, you don't have to worry about finding food or running out to grab something quickly, which can be stressful. By planning and prepping ahead of time, you can ensure that you always have food available, even when you're busy or on the go. The fact is, you probably don't even like eating takeaways that much because some of you do it so often. The reason you do it is because you don't know what you can or what you have in the kitchen. If it were planned, you'd be able to rustle up the planned meal in no time, feel full & content, and not have to worry about finding something fast. The stress is gone and you become healthy.
4. Cost savings: Meal planning and prepping can save you money in several ways. You can also buy in bulk and freeze meals, which can save you time and money in the long run. Eating at home is also typically cheaper than eating out or buying pre-made meals, especially if you use leftovers and plan your meals around what ingredients you already have left. You most likely spend £8 -12 on your Mcdonald's order. For a single meal. I can make 5-6 meals with that, which are all full of nutritious food, a lot tastier, and will leave you feeling insane, and not heavy and shit.
5. Better weight management: Meal planning and prepping can help you manage your weight more effectively. When you control what you eat and plan ahead, you are less likely to reach for unhealthy snacks or make poor food choices. Additionally, it can help you stick to portion control, which can be difficult when you eat out or grab food on the go. Often the easy-to-grab food are the most calorie-dense - meaning they have the most calories for their size and probably won't fill you up too much. One easy rubbish meal isn't going to make you fat. but how many of these meals have you had? That's what makes you fat. It's the repetitive nature that builds up. But flip this on its head. One healthy planned meal isn't going to make you magically healthy & leaner. But repeatedly eating like this is going to have a big effect. And sooner enough, you're going to be healthy, in better weight, and feel incredible.
6. Increased productivity: Now you know I'm all about productivity and brain function. Meal planning and prepping can massively increase productivity. Not only will it give you back countless hours trying to think of what to eat, going food shopping, or waiting in a drive-thru - it is going to optimise your body and brain to work much better. More than you can imagine. You will feel more creative & more focused. Life just becomes easier. Seriously though. It will help you get ahead of everyone else who didn't think you could.
7. Encourages Healthy Habits: Meal planning and prepping can also help to encourage healthy habits, such as eating more fruits and vegetables, reducing sugar and processed foods, and staying hydrated throughout the day. When you’re in control of what you’re eating, you have the ability to make healthier choices, and incorporating these habits into your daily routine can help to make them stick. It can also help to reduce mindless snacking throughout the day. Are you really going to go another year being the same? Don't you think you owe it to yourself to just try 3 months of getting in shape, eating well and forming solid habits that will last a lifetime?
